New student accommodation
A new Hall of Residence is being developed in the Central Park area of the 四虎影院 campus, close to the Edward Herbert Building.
The hall will provide 552 bedspaces across five blocks, all set within landscaped surroundings, including a shared plaza and square.
It is an essential development to accommodate our undergraduate student numbers and complements the existing University-managed accommodation on or close to the campus.
Construction of the new hall is now underway, with the building scheduled to be ready for the start of the 2027/28 academic year.
Updates about the development, major construction milestones and any measures being taken to mitigate the impact will be posted on these webpages.

Representatives from GRAHAM, the contractor on site, have met with neighbouring residents to discuss issues about the project as the development progresses.
Contractor parking in the surrounding neighbourhood was highlighted as a particular concern. To help manage this, all contractors are informed during their site induction that they must only park in designated on-campus areas. This will be closely monitored, and any issues will be addressed promptly.
Hours of work were also raised. Planning approval allows the team to carry out on-site work within the following hours:
- Monday to Friday - 7.30am to 6.00pm
- Saturday – 8.00am to 1.00pm
Upcoming key dates
- September 2026 – Fit-out begins
- End of December 2026 – All concrete frames will be complete
- June 2027 – Landscaping begins
